Making a self referral (Via NACCC)

Only CAFCASS, Solicitors and Social Services can refer directly to the contact centre.  See below information regarding making a referral through the National Association of Child Contact Centres

Referrals

National Association of Child Contact Centres (NACCC) online self-referral system which has been recently introduced. The system is provided to help you to arrange for your child/children to spend time with you at a safe, friendly and neutral place.

For existing applicants

If you have already made an application and it has been accepted you do not need to do anything else.

For pending applicants

If you have made an application using a former method please contact the person you sent the form to in order to establish where it is in the process. You may also contact us as well and we can check against our records.

New applications

For all new applications to use this Contact Centre please use the following guidance and link at the bottom of this page.

Planning the application

Please read through these guidance notes to make sure you have all of the information necessary to hand before making the application.

  • If your application is suitable for a supported visit, you will be asked to pay a £10 registration fee via Paypal. You can use a credit or debit card or a Paypal account to do this.

  • Before starting the process you should let the person that the child or children live with know that you are going to make an online application for supported contact as they will also need to register with us too and complete an online application within 28 days. If they do not complete within this time you will have to pay again. So it is worth informing them first.

  • Although the non-resident family member will be able to select a list of preferred centres, the person with whom the child/children live will be given the final choice of which child contact centre to use.

  • If your application is suitable for a supported visit, you and the person with whom the child or children live will need to agree on which child contact centre to use. This is usually near to where the child or children live.

  • You will complete the application form online, so set some time aside to do this.

  • Depending where you are going to make the application, you may prefer some privacy if it is in a public location.

  • We may still need to speak to you before your application can be referred to a centre.

  • If your application is referred to a centre they will contact you to arrange a visit. The centre will then decide if they can accommodate your family at their centre.

  • If the centre can accept your application you may be put onto their waiting list.

What you will need to complete the form:

  • You will need to register a username and password with us – after you do so you will be taken to the application form.

  • You will need an email address to register.

  • You will need a credit or a debit card or a Paypal account to pay the £10 registration fee.

  • You will need to know either the postal address or the email address or the phone number of the person that the children are living with so that you can contact them.

  • You will need to know the dates and details of any court proceedings about your child/children and any convictions that you have.
